Eating healthy foods doesn't mean you should avoid tasty foods. There are many tasty and healthy foods that are essential for your health. Eating food in their natural form always remain the best way of living right rather than foods which have been preserved using various means and processes.

Here are some foods that are good for your heart:


Oat is said to be high in fiber. They are healthy foods that are rich in vitamins and also helps in resolving digestion problems. It also lowers cholesterol and reduces the risk of heart attacks.


Dark chocolate is good for the health of your heart. But just be sure that it’s at least 70 percent cocoa as most chocolates nowadays contain high butter as a way to reduce cost.


Tomato contains fiber, potassium, and vitamin C which are essential for the health of one’s heart. It reduces cholesterol and lowers blood pressure. An increase in potassium intake along with a decrease in sodium intake is the most important dietary change that the average person can make to reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease. It's 237 mg of potassium is useful in controlling stroke. people with stroke could have long-term disabilities and may require mobility aids (like scooters and crutches) in moving around. Folic acid also found in tomato helps to keep homocysteine levels in check, hence reduces the risk of heart disease.


It is always advisable to eat fish rather than meats which are high in fats. Fishes are high in omega-3 which are a very essential nutrient for the body's growth. Fishes such are tuna and salmon which contains omega-3 are good for the heart and its always advisable to add them to your daily meals.

Soya Milk

Soya milk is high in isoflavones which are low in fat and has been shown to reduce cholesterol. It promotes blood circulation and has no cholesterol. Soya milk in daily meals is good for a healthy body and heart.


Apples are low in calories but high in vitamin C and fiber. Daily consumption of apple lowers cholesterol and also reduces inflammation. Apples strengthen the heart. The phytonutrients and antioxidants in apples may help reduce hypertension.


Grains are a good source of fiber. Wheat, rice (brown) and cereals are types of grains which are high in fiber and nutrients. This regulates blood pressure and reduces the risk of heart attacks.
