Constipation can be extremely dangerous and could lead to many health issues including but not limited to abdominal discomfort, rectum and intestine problems among others. It can also affect men sexual health if the situation lasts longer than it should.
Constipation is said to be the difficulty in moving one's bowels. Most people have faced this at least once. Constipation is caused by a number of factors which include diets or eating habits, lifestyle and even stress. One may ask which lifestyle leads to constipation. If you're not someone who is concerned about diet, fitness, and wellness then you might have constipation as a result of this. You should consider working out regularly and eat good foods that are rich in fiber.
Here is a list of home remedies that helps in treating constipation.
1. Treat constipation with rich fiber foods
Foods rich in fiber are helpful to people who have difficulty discharging bowels. Fibre foods help clean your digestive system. Foods rich in fiber include oats, vegetables, fruits, beans and many more. Don't forget to include fiber in your meals daily for relief.
2. Treat constipation with water.
You can help fight against constipation by drinking enough water. If you're not so cool with water which I'd describe as "not good", you can consume foods that contain more fluids in exchange. Foods like herbal tea, porridge, oatmeal can enhance free discharge of bowels.
3. Treat constipation with a glass of lemon juice.
Lemon is very helping in treating constipation. But hey don't mistakenly replace lemon with lime. Lime could be very harmful to your health and shouldn't be consumed in any amount. Prepare a glass of lemon juice and consume it first thing in the morning. Lemon juice is helpful to the digestive system. It cleans and washes out toxins from the body.
4. Treat constipation with rice porridge
Now let us be honest, you may or may not have an idea about this. This is not based on any study or research. I personally carried this out and this really works. I also helped some friends with this simple trick and they were thankful I shared this hack with them. Prepare a porridge with rice and consume it at night for a week or more. You'll start seeing results after a day or two. You'll have a free bowel and won't have to go through the stress of dealing with constipation. You can also have this for breakfast. Most Ghanaians enjoy rice porridge (rice water as they often call it) but have no idea of its effect on constipation.
5. Treat constipation with orange.
If you love oranges so much then you'd probably love this. Just like lemons, oranges are very useful in treating constipation. Before you visit your washroom, cut open two whole oranges and squeeze the juice into a cup and drink it to help reduce constipation. The best part of an orange is the roughage. Don't ever dispose it of, eat them as well. This actually feels good because it works much more than just drinking the juice.
6. Treat constipation with hot morning coffee.
Do you like coffee? Yes! If you love coffee then you've found something to hold on to. Prepare yourself a nice looking hot coffee and consume it as early as possible after waking up from bed.
7. Treat constipation with exercise (workout)
I don't like to conclude this topic without mentioning workout. In most (all) health situations, it's always advisable to include workouts so as to help resolve the situation in a short possible time. Workouts that focus on your abdominal area may be helpful in this situation. Move your body by going for walks. Jogging can also help as exercises are helpful in many ways.
